I made the original version of this one years ago, I think around 2013. At the time I was listening to a lot of Underground Construction, earlier gabber etc.. I guess this was an attempt to make some hard house. A demo got passed around to a few friends, some seeming to like it (not sure why, it sucked!). Back then it was all drums, just a little mixing tool. It had the WORST kick ever, like a fucking wet paper towel hitting a cardboard box. The snare rolls came from a really dodgy, low-bitrate 4shared reggaeton sample pack, which I used for most of my early tracks. I added a vocal sample, a much better kick, and a few other sounds, but left it pretty stripped down for its original purpose.

I’ve never really released much music, but I’ve made TONS of it. Planning on unearthing/finishing lots of stuff from the vaults now since I’m a bit more confident with my mixing abilities. Next time though, I probably won’t mention it’s a demo from 10 years ago!
